You're an Ultraman fan, right? Well, I'm a kid, and I'm looking to get into Ultraman. Can you recommend me a good, family friendly place to start? Also, I'm not looking for anything purely family friendly, just nothing with strong language, sexual content, or realistic violence.

Crunchyroll has a handful of the newer entries in the franchise - also, you can find a decent amount of Ultras vs. Kaiju battle scenes from across the franchise on YouTube, but these aren't full episodes.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

Do you have to pay for Crunchyroll?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

You can, but otherwise it's free with ads. They've got Gaia, Nexus, Ginga and Ginga S (treated as one show), X (my personal favorite), Orb, and Geed.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

Do the adds have sexual content? Because I had to stop using Animeflavor and Read Comics Online for that reason.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

No, it's a legit site. Though you can skip them altogether with a Firefox extension called uBlock Origin.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

I have Adblocker. Will that work?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Only one way to find out.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

Also, is Ultraman Ace and Ultraman Leo really as violent as people say?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Absolutely, but it's hardly realistic violence.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

Is it human violence, or monster violence? Because my parents don't care if I see rubber monsters blown up, ripped to pieces, or decapitated. They only care about human violence.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Haven't seen much of Ace, but in Leo it's both. (I can't recommend watching that show early in your Ultra Series journey anyway.)

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

Ah, okay. I'll make sure I avoid Leo for now, but are there any other series I should avoid?

The death slayer (talkcontribs)

Hi

VaderRaptor (talkcontribs)

For me my parents don't really care what I watch, but what order should I watch the parts in? It really looks confusing.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

I have no idea. I'm still trying to comprehend to timeline! However, I might be able to recommend a series to start with. What's your favorite Toho Kaiju film?

VaderRaptor (talkcontribs)

Godzilla vs. Destoroyah

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

Then I'd go for either Ultraman Max or Ultraman Tiga. Ultraman Max has no continuity with the others, but it's only available on Toku. As for Tiga, I'm not sure about continuity, but it's a great series to start off with. I'm not sure if it's on Toku, but the dub is available on DVD. But if you're looking to get into the full story, I'd say go with the original Ultraman. It's slow at first, but the pacing gets better as the series progresses. Both the dub and sub is available on DVD or Blu-Ray.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

The American Tiga DVDs don't have the 4Kids dub on them, just Japanese with subtitles (and run very expensive). Hasn't been licensed since. The Ultraman dub has only been released on DVD.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

Expensive? They're like 10$ on Amazon! Also, I thought they had the 4Kids dub. Sorry!

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

They don't have Volume 3 though.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

You can probably find that one on eBay.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

That's a LOT of money! I see your point.

VaderRaptor (talkcontribs)

I'm just looking for places to watch this free for the time being so that I don't spend money if I don't like the series.

UltraGoji (talkcontribs)

Then try Crunchyroll. As Astounding Beyond Belief said, they've got Gaia, Nexus, Ginga and Ginga S (treated as one show), X, Orb, and Geed. You can pay for it, but otherwise it's free with ads. Hope this Helps!

VaderRaptor (talkcontribs)

Alright.
