It is called as「特殊戦闘機グリフォン」in the film with a subtitle below the ship when it is first shown. It is also called that in the battle spirit card. To my knowledge, only the Super Complete Works collection cites it simply as「グリフォン」.

Yeah - for future reference, when a vehicle has a prefix like that we don't include it in the name of the thing itself, but rather as a subtitle in the infobox. It's no different than Godzilla being branded "King of the Monsters." It's not part of the name, just an extra title.
That makes sense, i will keep that in mind. I realized that and edited this to be disregarded. but thank you for the tip. I am trying to be better at formatting and writing so i keep reading through the rules/help. I have seen alot of the more obscure Toho films and read alot of supplemental information and try to add as much of it as i notice is not yet on this Wiki, but sometimes i get too excited or carried away when doing so.
