Yeah, but take it from a die-hard mythology fan, it's kinda hard to visualize a member of Godzilla's species having the same names as a Philistine merman god of agriculture/Judeo-Christian winged bull/minotaur demon king/president (Dagon is the same as Zagan/Haagenti) and a Kami of weather, agriculture, and time (his 3 fingers represent past, present, and future). It just feels a little weird.
Which is why I came up with the idea to personally call the MV kaiju by their (?Anglicized?) Japanese names.....while occasionally saying their canonical names, so that it doesn't throw people off.
