This is a theory that has came back since Kong has been reveald to be hable to COMMUNICATE (no shobijin-like connection) with a girl and it has been somewhat annoying me since KOTM and it is unfounded for numerous reasons :

• There is no scene that in anyway point towards this conclusion, the closest is Godzilla saving Madison, her smiling back, and that's it. No connection, Godzilla didn't even acknowledged her.
• By that logic, anyone who Godzilla has saved inadvertently has a connection with him. So I guess Ford has a connection with the Big G, because he did more for him then Madison ever did. See why that logic makes no sense ! Of course, if you give me a plausible argument, I will admit that they do have a connection.

I doubt that she has some sort of "connection" with him, but she definitely seems to be taking part in trying to unravel his motives in GvK.

Like most people in Monarch.

It's probably more of a "humanistic" connection. Kong's been one of the few kaiju to have a deeper understanding of humans. This is also due to him being a primate.

And don't mistake "connection" for "friendship." It's more like how superheroes save people's lives and you barely ever see those same people again. Just because you save random people you don't even know doesn't mean you're forever linked to those people.

That's the best way I can even try to explain it.
