This page is about the 2021 comic miniseries. For its 2022 sequel, see Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors - All Hail the King!. For the 2023 one-shot which concludes the story, see Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors - Summer Smash. For the 2024 paperback collection of all three comics, see Godzilla: The Complete Monsters & Protectors.

Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors is a middle-grade Godzilla comic miniseries published by IDW Comics from April to August 2021. The company's first new Godzilla comic since Godzilla: Rage Across Time in 2016, it is a five-issue collaboration between Erik Burnham, Dan Schoening and Luis Antonio Delgado.[1] The comic's story follows eighth grader Cedric Nishimura who, with the help of his classmates and the Shobijin of Infant Island, attempts to prevent Godzilla from destroying mankind in retaliation for the environmentally destructive activities of the Linival Corporation. The Linival Corporation has its own plan to deal with Godzilla: a genetically-engineered plant hybrid clone dubbed Biollante. IDW published a trade paperback collecting the miniseries, Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors - Rise Up!, on March 22, 2022.[2] It was followed by a sequel five-issue miniseries, Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors - All Hail the King!, which ran from October 2022 to February 2023. The story of both miniseries was concluded in a one-shot, Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors - Summer Smash, which was published on July 26, 2023. All three Monsters & Protectors comics will be collected together in the Godzilla: The Complete Monsters & Protectors trade paperback on August 27, 2024.
