— Promotional poster tagline

Gogola is an Indian tokusatsu kaiju film, produced and distributed by Indra Danush Films. Gogola obviously was made as a parody at Toho's Godzilla movies. It copies many aspects of the original Godzilla, such as plot and titular monster's abilities. The film was released to Indian theaters on January 1, 1966. It is considered to be lost. Only several photos, theatrical posters and soundtrack of the film survived.

Plot

At the beginning of the film a group of teens see a giant reptilian monster, called Gogola. They run to the police and tell them about this, but the police are sceptical. They tell other people about a giant monster but no one don't want to listen them. Later the monster comes from the sea and begins attacking the city. The military attacks him but the monster is intact. Gogola destroys the city and goes back to the sea.

Meanwhile a scientist inventes a poison that can kill Gogola. But he doesn't want to kill the monster, unlike his girlfriend, who wants to kill Gogola. The enemy of the scientist follows him and kills him, because he wants to appropriate the poison and scientist's girlfriend. At the end, Gogola kills him before dying through poison.
