The Saunders-Roe A.36 Lerwick was sent out to find Godzilla after he killed Anguirus and left Osaka in ruins. Godzilla began attacking fishing boats as he traveled towards Hokkaido, and thus the Lerwick was deployed alongside a host of other planes.

Fokker F27 Friendship is a Dutch turboprop airliner designed and built by the now-defunct Dutch aircraft manufacturer, Fokker. It appears as Selina Salno's private plane in the 1964 Godzilla film, Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster.

Selina Salno, the princess of the kingdom of Selgina, traveled to Japan on a diplomatic mission in her private Fokker F27 Friendship. However, the political opposition had hired the assassin Malmess to place a bomb on the plane in an attempt to assassinate the princess. During Selina's flight, she became entranced, hearing a voice warns her to leave the plane immediately. Selina dove from the plane just before the bomb was detonated, destroying the plane.

The Bell 212 is an American utility helicopter manufactured by Bell Helicopters. It is the civilian version of the Bell UH-1N Twin Huey. It first appears in the 1984 Godzilla film, The Return of Godzilla.

The Return of Godzilla

After an S.O.S. transmission from the Yahata Maru was sent out in the midst of a storm in the Sea of Japan, Goro Maki went to investigate the boat so that he could write an article on the incident. Upon arrival, he found the ship deserted and completely disabled. After further investigation, Goro found the bodies of the crew, all dead with their bodily fluids drained, and a single survivor, a young man named Hiroshi Okumura, who was badly wounded. Suddenly, Goro was attacked by the cause of the crew's deaths, a giant sea louse called Shockirus. He was rescued by Okumura, who killed the Shockirus by stabbing it to death with a hatchet. Shortly afterward, the J.M.S.D.F finally arrived on the scene with a Bell 212 and rescued the two men.

Gamera: Guardian of the Universe

When a mysterious floating coral atoll caused the Kairyu-Maru, a ship carrying plutonium, to run aground off the coast of the Philippines, a joint expedition between the Japanese Coast Guard and the company that owned the ship was sent to search for the atoll. After the atoll was discovered and a crew came ashore on it, it began to break apart. The researchers fell into the sea but were rescued by their ship. One member of the expedition, Yoshinari Yonemori, climbed into a Bell 212 and flew to Fukuoka, where the large creature that emerged from the atoll was heading.

The Hughes 500C is an observation helicopter, and the non-armed variant of the Hughes OH-6D Cayuse. It is first seen in the 1989 Toho film, Godzilla vs. Biollante.

Godzilla vs. Biollante

As part of an experiment to try and fend Godzilla off using Miki Saegusa's psychic abilities, Miki was flown by helicopter around the Sea of Japan to a J.M.S.D.F. warship, and lands on the boat's helipad. The helicopter appears several times afterward, mostly being used to follow and observe Godzilla from afar.

Godzilla vs. Destoroyah

In this film, the helicopter is used when Miki and Meru Ozawa look for the missing Godzilla Junior and then is used to follow him once he surfaces and begins moving towards Tokyo. Following Junior through Tokyo, the helicopter is nearly knocked out of the sky by Destoroyah's flying form, but Junior joins the fray to protect Miki. After Junior is killed by Destoroyah, Miki and Meru land the helicopter nearby to try and get to Junior but are nearly killed when Destoroyah flies past and obliterates the helicopter with a blast of his Micro-Oxygen beam.

GODZILLA

In 1998, several ships disappeared across the world's oceans under mysterious circumstances. Once a destroyed Japanese fishing vessel washed up on the shores of Jamaica, scientists and officials from the United States military traveled to the vessel with two OH-6Ds to investigate and search for clues on what could have caused these incidents. After researching, they did find some clues which they would not make full sense of until they arrived at New York.

Millennium Series

Godzilla 2000: Millennium

After the Millennian UFO rose out of the ocean, a Hughes OH-6D Cayuse of the JGSDF was sent to pursue it.

GODZILLA

During France's nuclear tests in French Polynesia, they would use English Electric Canberras to record data and information gathered from the tests. Over time, the repeated nuclear tests eventually led to the mutation of an iguana into Godzilla.

History

The Piasecki H-21B helicopter arrived at Chernobyl in 1998, where Nick Tatopoulos was collecting clams, studying the effects of radiation. A government agent came out of the helicopter and spoke to Nick, saying that he had been reassigned. They got aboard the Piasecki, preparing to investigate a strange phenomenon happening on the planet.

Atragon

The I-403 was the pride of the Japanese Navy during World War II. It was on a mission when it came under fire from a submarine of unknown origin, and had more advanced weaponry than the I-403. Captain Shinguji feared that he could not win the battle, and had his crew quickly evacuate the ship. The Mu Empire later recovered the ship, along with the plans for the proposed super submarine, Gotengo.

Mothra

The Orion Maru was sailing across the Pacific with a full capacity of passengers and crew on board. During the voyage, the captain and crew noticed the larval Mothra appear to the ship's starboard. The captain ordered the crew to turn to port, but it was too late. Mothra destroyed the ship, killing all on board, and continued on to Japan in order to search for and rescue the Shobijin.

  • The destruction of the Orion Maru is considerably out of character for Mothra, even this early in her filmography, where she is mostly seen only attacking humans if directly provoked by them. In this instance, the ship was simply in the way.

Shortly after the destruction of the Eikou Maru, the Bingo Maru was sent out by the shipping company to search for any survivors of the ship's mysterious disaster. Traveling south towards the ship's last known location, it too was set on fire by an unknown source, and sank quickly, leaving only a few survivors to limp across the sea on a raft to Odo Island.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II

A Super Puma was used by the scientific expedition team led by Hiroshi Omae to Adonoa Island in the Bering Sea after a group of Russian petroleum surveyors discovered a Pteranodon skeleton along with a nest containing what appeared to be an intact Pteranodon egg and one that had hatched. When the scientists loaded their chopper with the egg, they were attacked by Rodan, which had hatched from the other egg. While Godzilla came ashore on the island and battled Rodan, the scientists were able to escape with the helicopter, bringing the egg to Kyoto for study.
