Emerging from the Gulf of Mexico, Varan swims to shore, clashing with the Mexican government as he makes his way up the North American continent. Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters

After Anguirus emerges in Sabinas, Mexico, a wall is constructed along the Mexico/Texas border, in hopes of keeping the kaiju from entering the state. The plan fails, with Anguirus breaking through the wall and entering the state. While there, he is chased by a pair of rednecks in San Antonio who attempt to kill him with their guns. It is proposed by a member of M.E.A.L.S. that Anguirus' destruction in Texas is "for the greater good" and that Texas should be destroyed. The aforementioned rednecks attempt shoot Anguirus with a sniper, the bullet fails to injure him, the encounter ending with Anguirus killing them both. Anguirus eventually leaves San Antonio, heading towards Godzilla.
