Tokyo Blackout (首都消失 is a 1987 Shuto Shōshitsu, lit. The Capitol Disappears)tokusatsu disaster film co-produced by Kansai TV, Tokuma Shoten, and Daiei and distributed by Toho. An adaptation of Sakyo Komatsu's 1983 novel of the same name, the film was released to Japanese theaters on January 17, 1987[3] and to American and Canadian theaters on August 29 of the same year.[1]
