Godzilla (2014)
This is the perfect start of the Monsterverse.This movie did a excellent job of modernising Godzilla. The film's characters are bit boring,my personal favourite part of the film was the realistic elements, such as Godzilla's fighting style and movements being based on Bears and Komodo dragons I tolerate the lack of monster action,this time,but i don't want to ever see the suspense vibe from Alien,Jaws and Close Encounters of Third Kind.
This movie was also good,having Godzilla return to his destructive force of nature roots again.You can't compare this movie to the 2014 film. Shinji Higuchi and Hideaki Anno made this movie independently,the 2014 film was "Man vs Nature". This movie is political thriller. Godzilla had the worst personality in this film,i expected something better from Hideaki Anno, director of Neon Genesis Evangelion,a series where the Kaiju have no personality and just move. This movie doesn't have much Evangelion references,from the tone,the characters and soundtrack. Kong: Skull Island had more Evangelion vibe than this film.
Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle
Worst sequel in the entire Godzilla Franchise. I only have seen bits of pieces of the first film and Planet Eater. This is what we get,when it comes to Toho's idea to "Appeal Women" strategy. The directors lied to the whole public,instead they decided to just rehash the ending of the first film,where they lure Godzilla,trap him and then fail to kill him. Better alternative there I guarantee it,that was definitely worth doing over,not giving us something different from the first film.
Godzilla vs. Gigan
This Film is definately a cinematic masterpiece of the 70s,Godzilla and Anguirus are 1000 percent the main characters of this film,They all had great conversation through speech bubbles.But why people are finding the cpnversation so funny,The Kaiju themselves don't know how to speak human,and first of all Godzilla is not a big dumb monster that says roar and break stuff,he's nature's wrath,this what makes Godzilla distinct.If you find this conversation funny,then you're an idiot.This is one of my favourite Showa Godzilla movies ever.
