Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

Bulgasari (1962) and Tokyo 1960 are two giant monster films used in the youtube video Lost & Unreleased Kaiju Media and i would like to make a Bulgasari (1962 film) page so am i allowed to make this film.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

i would like to make a Bulgasari page we already have a Gogola page.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

or making a youtube video?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

i added a sinopsis to the page les so can it be a real page now?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

please.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)
Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

i give up i'm leaving for a few hours.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)
Les (talkcontribs)

It appears to be a movie called Half Man and Half Beast ( () () () ()).

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

thanks les

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

can i make the page?

Les (talkcontribs)

I don't know a single thing about it

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

horror film sci-fi giant monsters.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

it was the odd one out in the videos korean kaiju films list.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

it has a half man and half beast and leading giant wolf dogs.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Doesn't sound like a giant monster movie at all.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

yes its sounds like a korean version of half human

Les (talkcontribs)

What it "sounds like" is irrelevant to what it is. I guarantee you know just as little about it as we do. You're not making a very strong case.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

look i'm just trying to help out wikizilla and if you would rather me not thats fine.

Les (talkcontribs)

I know you're trying to help, and I appreciate it. But every movie under the sun does not deserve a spot on this website.

None of us know literally anything about this movie. It has barely any information on the internet, and certainly none in English. There is no basis to make a judgment on whether or not it should be included, and a few sentences is not much of a page.

VaderRaptor (talkcontribs)

The revert of my edit didn't really make sense to me so I want to clear something up. If the book hasn't come out yet, how are we supposed to know the plot of it? If we don't know the plot of it, how do we have the plot section incomplete? There's just a lack of information available.

Les (talkcontribs)

The comic will be out in another month. Doesn't make any sense to me to remove the stub notice just to add it back again. The "plot" section is for a full synopsis, so one sentence is a stub. The Future banner on the top clarifies that information will be added as it is made available.

VaderRaptor (talkcontribs)

Okay. Thanks.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

can i make The Mighty Gorga and The Black Scorpion pages?

Les (talkcontribs)

I think you've done enough page creating for today.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Yes to The Black Scorpion, but The Mighty Gorga looks so inept I can't commit to covering it yet.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

thanks.

Les (talkcontribs)

But Konga TNT doesn't? 😛

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

i'm going to make the page on another day.

The H-Man (talkcontribs)

I don't think The Mighty Gorga belongs here. It's a ripoff of King Kong with a guy in an ape suit but otherwise there's nothing about it that ties it to the rest of the content on the site.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

Astounding Beyond Belief already said most of that.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

i seem to have a problem with my page.

Les (talkcontribs)

You'll have to be more specific.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

The Black Scorpion made its way to my sandbox.

Les (talkcontribs)

Allosaurus put it there. The real page wasn't ready yet

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

from Giant Monsters Wiki.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

can i make a Enoken's Sun Wukong page?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

it would make sense to

KunshuGoji (talkcontribs)

Hi Les, I noticed you'd added Battle in Outer Space under filmography in my Texas sandbox. I haven't seen the film myself, so I've been doing some research to see what role it plays in the movie. Unfortunately I haven't found anything. Would you mind telling me how it's involved so I can update the sandbox? Thanks in advance.

Les (talkcontribs)

Texas was one of the three launch sites of the FFE Space Fighters, along with Siberia and Tokyo. I can't remember if it's actually shown or only mentioned.

KunshuGoji (talkcontribs)

Alrighty, I'll be sure to add it in. Thanks again.

Nuclear Godzilla (talkcontribs)

Well can you friend me

KunshuGoji (talkcontribs)

? I'm not sure if that is to Les or I or why you even put it in this thread but going around asking people to friend you is not a good way to get people to friend you

Summary by Les

Already covered by Ultraman Wiki

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

hello again les, i'm woundering about KAIJU DECODE, i found out obout the film from ScifiJapan but it is not made by companies in wikizilla's main scope toei and Tsuburaya, its anime and kaiju so can make the page?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Ultra Wiki's handling it

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)
Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)
Les (talkcontribs)

Also worth keeping in mind that the most that was announced about the show was its name and a teaser poster, and it's been radio silence since 2019.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)
Les (talkcontribs)

Day of the Kaiju has nothing to do with Tsuburaya, so I have no idea what you're talking about. Daigoro vs. Goliath was co-produced and distributed by Toho.

Kaiju Decode has nothing to do with this site beyond "kaiju." Ultra Wiki is the place for Tsuburaya content, and they're perfectly capable of handling it.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

fine then i would like to make a Gazorra – The Beast from the Depths of the Earth page.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

and Godzilla vs. the Netherlands

Summary by Les

Exists as a sandbox

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

why is there no Queen Kong (film) page?

Les (talkcontribs)
Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

or Q – The Winged Serpent

Les (talkcontribs)

We're not covering that one.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

please tell me @Les what films that have not been talked about are aloud here?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

why is there no Yamata no Orochi profile on our youtube channel?

Why was my recent page sent to the sandbox?

11
SuperZillaRealms (talkcontribs)

I don’t mean to sound rude, but why was the MV Mechagodzilla sent to the sandbox?

Les (talkcontribs)

The image isn't yet confirmed to be official, and it is woefully underwritten (understandably so, considering the movie hasn't come out yet). No sense in publishing a page which is almost entirely "To be added"s; a better page can be written when we actually have information.

SuperZillaRealms (talkcontribs)

That’s understandable, buythe image is from Heredia Clothing, a clothing company that has the Godzilla license and is making clothing for GvK

Les (talkcontribs)

It looks plenty official, but I'd like to be sure. I've never heard of this company, nor of them having the license.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)
SuperZillaRealms (talkcontribs)
Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

The plot thickens: both links are now dead.

SuperZillaRealms (talkcontribs)

Huh...guess they were official?

Might’ve been removed by WB and Legendary. But just in-case, I’m going to be adding some new info on that page. Maybe it can be used as some sort of template for the official page when the movie comes out

But for the time being, yeah, keep it in the sandbox so that way Wikizilla doesn’t get shut down

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Wikizilla is not going to get shut down over a t-shirt, but I'll be looking to see if social media posts with the shirt start disappearing.

SuperZillaRealms (talkcontribs)

No offence, but you may underestimate the power of WB

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

We've met.

Samurai Pirate, Konto 55: Grand Outer Space Adventure, The Adventure of Taklamakan and Terror in the Streets

30
Summary by Les

Yes to Konto 55. The rest, no.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

les are we allowed to cover the following toho toku, Samurai Pirate, Konto 55: Grand Outer Space Adventure, The Adventure of Taklamakan and Terror in the Streets?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

in other words wikizilla has still got a lot to cover.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

I'm fine with Samurai Pirate and Konto 55, but Terror in the Streets is a no; that's horror/suspense. Never heard of The Adventure of Taklamakan.

Les (talkcontribs)

I would say no to both.

Samurai Pirate doesn't have much relevance beyond Tsuburaya-directed fantasy. The "special effects" as far as I can tell are just sets, ships and compositing - there aren't any monsters or creatures. I don't think it makes a lot of sense being here.

Konto 55 is the fourth in a quadrilogy of films starring the comedy group Konto 55 - just because this one is set in space, we have to cover it? The movie isn't even branded as "special effects" and there are no tokusatsu staff credited. It's possible Jun Fukuda directed all of it.

The H-Man (talkcontribs)

This is the extent of Konto 55's special effects credits: https://i.postimg.cc/s2Cqs4V2/vlcsnap-2021-02-26-11h46m33s569.png

The FX are pretty minimal. I think it's mostly limited to the flying saucer, the few miniatures and space environs it interacts with, and some matte effects. Stock footage from other SFX films turns up towards the end to represent a nuclear holocaust -- there might be a few new shots in here, but again, it's all very minimal.

There are also several species of aliens, but they're far more similar to the woefully costumed actors in Lost in Space than other Toho genre films.

Les (talkcontribs)

Ahh, they go completely uncredited on Toho's website. Judging by Yoichi Manoda's top billing, I assume he was the director.

Even so, I don't feel great about it. But I'm open to convincing.

Les (talkcontribs)

It also screened alongside All Monsters Attack at the first year of the Champion Festival, which is another point in its favor. It's worth a watch, at least.

The H-Man (talkcontribs)

I think the film definitely fits the site's criteria but I can't imagine the various pages required to cover it (film, characters, etc.) would be very comprehensive.

Les (talkcontribs)

To be fair, we don't have pages for any characters from Prophecies of Nostradamus, The Last War, Submersion of Japan, etc. We have far too many other projects for that to really be a worry at the moment, I think. Maybe pages for the aliens if somebody wanted to make it a project.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

shit point.

The H-Man (talkcontribs)

Excuse me?

SlimerJoel (talkcontribs)

Samurai Pirate definitely has no place being here. It's a fantasy film but according to reviews, there's zero monsters in the film outside of a witch played by Hideyo Amamoto. Can't speak for Konto 55, outside of what Les already mentioned. The Adventure of Taklamakan is another in the same vein as Samurai Pirate: fantasy film but no monsters = no reason to be covered. ABB already made the case against Terror in the Streets.

The H-Man (talkcontribs)

There is a witch and a wizard who can both shapeshift through neat optical effects, but I agree, it's just outside this site's scope.

Taklamakan has even less special effects content. If Samurai Pirate doesn't qualify then this one definitely shouldn't.

(Should have been a reply to SlimerJoel, oops.)

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)
Les (talkcontribs)

Ah yes, ABB's opinion is "right" because it aligns with your own :P

It's called having a discussion. We're not one hivemind that all think the same things. In disagreements, we put forth our thoughts and then usually have a vote. That's how you be civil.

The H-Man (talkcontribs)

Am I not allowed to contribute to this conversation? I've seen all of the movies you've asked about. It didn't seem like the bureaucrats had.

Les (talkcontribs)

I'm not all that familiar with Terror in the Streets or The Black Scorpion, but I have no idea what comparison you could be making. It's a movie about giant bugs, and Horror of the Wolf is about a werewolf. As far as I can tell Terror has absolutely nothing to do with this website. The trailer looks to be about a murderer stalking a woman. I don't think it even has special effects. Not happening

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

horror themed @Les

The H-Man (talkcontribs)

Terror in the Streets isn't even really a horror film, it's a thriller with some slight horror elements. I've seen it. It absolutely does not belong here.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

Ei Ogawa, Hiroshi Nagano, Tomoyuki Tanaka, Fumio Tanaka, Riichiro Manabe

Les (talkcontribs)

This website is not about porting the entire filmographies of Tomoyuki Tanaka, etc. The staff are irrelevant if the movie has no place here.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

ok then.

Les (talkcontribs)
Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

i have a problem with the nav template on your sandbox page sorry les and can't fix it.

Les (talkcontribs)

It doesn't need a Nav, we're not covering the other movies.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

but there are other films in the series that aren't coved yet what do i do to show other users that?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

les i am sorry.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

what about 連合艦隊司令長官 山本五十六?

Les (talkcontribs)

We're not covering war movies. We only have The Last War because it's more in the vein of tokusatsu and disaster films.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

I found a new monster in Kong novel

15
Summary by Les

Added to page

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

Is not a mire squid as each tentacle has a mouth on it.

Each of the tentacles has a mouth and a head, and fins on it

Each of the tentacles is muscular and don't have suckers down them like a normal octopus

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

no you didn't its on the page.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

What page would that be? No such creature is mentioned on the list of MonsterVerse monsters, and the KSI novelization page erroneously stated that they were attacked by a Leafwing. I think this thing is a version of the Swamp Locust, but since it made it into the novelization, it should be treated as a separate monster.

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

The shapes emerged with barely a splash, several of them leaping up from the river’s surface and landing on deck along the starboard side. At first Conrad thought they were long, thin water snakes, a dozen feet long with fine webbed fins and elongated heads ending with small, suckered mouths. Then he saw that they all trailed back into the river. They met together at a dark mass just below the water’s surface. “Squid!” he shouted. “It’s a giant squid!” That wasn’t quite right. The tentacles were strange, not covered with suckers but heavily ridged with muscle. The ragged stump that had first grabbed.

Slivko was back, spewing blood across the deck. “Go!” Weaver said, and Marlow leaned down on the throttle. The creature had learned. This time its limbs were not caught in the spinning screw, but the good hold it had with a few of its tentacles dragged it along with the accelerating boat. Conrad drew his gun and started firing down into the water, then Slivko screamed again. “Gimme a break!” he shouted, almost manic as he was dragged once again towards the deck’s edge.

Weaver started hacking at the tentacle with the machete, careful not to strike Slivko in the leg. The blade seemed to skim from the slick skin, striking the deck and throwing sparks. Brooks held his arm and tried to prevent him being taken, and Conrad looked around for Nieves. The Landsat guy was huddled against the wheelhouse, staring wide-eyed. He’d be no help. “Where’s San?” Conrad asked. “Where the hell is San?” For a second he thought she was gone, and he felt so sad that she’d died without any of them even noticing. Then she reappeared swinging Marlow’s katana sword. It sliced through the tentacle six inches from Slivko’s foot, rebounding from the deck with a sweet metallic note and sending the other tentacles into an agonised dance.

Conrad was struck across the face, and he ducked and rolled backwards before the tentacle found purchase around his neck. “Faster!” he shouted at Marlow. “I’m giving her all she’s got!” Marlow said, and Conrad imagined him screaming it in a Scottish accent. He laughed, almost hysterical, then scrambled to his feet. Several tentacles were grabbing hold of various parts of the boat, and as they pulled tighter they dragged the body of the beast up out of the water. It broke the surface in a frothing wave, the water churned brown with mud and red with the creature’s leaking blood. Conrad grabbed at the railing and looked down, just as the squid—or whatever the hell it was—reared up even further. He looked it in the eye. Its barbed beak opened as if to laugh at him, or curse. He shot it in the eye, and the massive fluid sac burst and spewed into the river like a bloody slick. San sliced at another tentacle and the thing let go, splashing into the water and quickly falling behind them. “Shit! Shit!” Slivko kicked the parted tentacle from around his leg and watched it fall over the side, leaving a dark red trail behind. “He sure had the hots for you,” Weaver said to Slivko. She stood and nodded her thanks to San, who was still standing with the sword held in both hands. She looked surprised at what she had done.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

man that's a lot.

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

so it's a new monster?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

um, yes it is.

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

How are we gonna call it?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

untitled water monster

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

I already called it Snake Squid in the pages

Water Monster is a generic name, Mire Squid would fit into this name too

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

"Untitled water monster" is too generic, while Snake Squid sounds too much like a real name and places too much emphasis on Conrad briefly mistaking the tentacles for snakes. I'm gonna go with "squid-like creature."

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

Ok

You're wellcome guys!

I mean no one noticed this monster since 2017 XD

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

👍 speaking of the monsterverse Godzilla vs. Kong is coming out next Month!

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

Also funny how Mr. Eiga said I didn't found a new monster XD

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

funny enough i just found out about a kaiju that i don't know the name of that appeared in Madness! Live Monster Broadcast

Proposal for MonsterVerse page look

Summary by Les

No

Shinomura (talkcontribs)
Shinomura (talkcontribs)

minor bump

SlimerJoel (talkcontribs)

Not sure I understand what you mean regarding making it look like those examples. Utilizing more images?

Les (talkcontribs)

What I assume you mean is using images as portals, like the way the front page is set up... which is fine and all, but why specifically target the MonsterVerse page? You'd have to carry that format over to other era pages and that becomes unwieldy with things like Showa or even Heisei. Plus I'd rather not directly rip off Gojipedia, I think what we have is fine.

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

I mean use pics as portals, I can make it for every Era, as I have a lot of free time.

Also Is not a rip off of Gojipedia, my proposal is to use pics only, not to copy-paste Gojipedia's way to show up the info.

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

Please allow me to show you first.

If you don't like you just have to revert my edits.

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

Thoughts?

Shinomura (talkcontribs)

Can I turn the other eras into the same?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)
Shinomura (talkcontribs)

Ok then
