Plot

"Volume of: Gojiban Tales - the Tortoise and the Hare"

The episode tells the story of the fictional picture book "Gojiban Tales: the Tortoise and the Hare," borrowing concepts from the real-world fable by Aesop. The 'hare,' represented by Godzilla-kun with rabbit ears, engages Minilla and Little, who are dressed as tortoises, in a race to the top of a hill. Godzilla-kun easily speeds past the slow-moving tortoises and eventually, confident of winning, decides to take a nap midway through the race. Sometime later, with the sun setting, he awakens in a fit, believing that his competitors had passed him out. However, as he turns around to look, he sees that Minilla and Little have still only barely caught up to him. Annoyed at their slowness, Godzilla-kun shouts at the pair before passing back out on the ground. The tortoises later begin spinning and lift off into the air.

"Volume of: First in History!! The Robot Press Conference"

Dr. Roborobo holds the world's first robot press conference with his new invention, Jet Jaguar. The reporters ask the robot if he is truly capable of free will, to which he responds that he indeed is. They also ask what his most deadly feature is, which he responds is his ability to become giant. Suddenly, the monsters Megalon and Godzilla appear, causing Jet Jaguar's eyes to begin glowing. Roborobo explains that the robot's sense of justice has been awakened, and he grows to giant size, to the astonishment of the press. Godzilla and Jet Jaguar stand back-to-back, preparing to launch an attack on Megalon. However, Godzilla quickly realizes that Jet Jaguar has frozen completely. When he looks into the mech's eyes, he sees the message "Data downloading" displayed. Roborobo explains to the reporters that Jet Jaguar cannot battle without first downloading a Battle Mode application. Visibly distressed, they begin yelling at him, asking just what his intentions are.

"The Sorrowful Warrior Girls"

Long ago, the girls Marika and Aira were raised like sisters in a small village in the Gohjibahn Kingdom. But, they were soon separated amidst a war and forced to grow up in rival kingdoms, trained to become skilled warriors. Now, they face each other in battle once and for all. As the girls clash swords, they are distracted by the appearance of Kamatte-kun, who looks up at them in interest. Ignoring him, they run a short distance away and continue their battle, only to notice that Kamatte-kun has again appeared before them. Confused, the girls step back from one another and Aira thrusts her sword at the ground, giving the appearance of stabbing Kamatte-kun. However, in reality, she merely set it in the ground, and kneels down to Kamatte-kun to pick him up. As she begins to pet and cuddle the monster, Marika comes up from behind and grabs Kamatte-kun from her. They begin to fight over him, repeatedly ripping him from one another's arms. They then each grab one end of Kamatte-kun, and pull him between them, before the episode ends.

Trivia

  • The ending to this episode's edition of Go! Go! Godzilla-kun may be seen as a reference to Gamera. Minilla and Little, dressed as turtles, spin around and lift off into the air, similar to the manner in which Gamera flies.
