After an attempt break him out of the Godzilla Tower, Gengo and Tomko were captured themselves, and caught a glimpse of Kubota and Fumio's true, alien forms, resembling cockroaches. They intended to keep their prisoners alive to serve as uniforms for more of there troops yet to arrive on Earth. The aliens then broadcasted a signal from the tower to summon [[Gigan]] and [[King Ghidorah]] to destroy [[Tokyo]]. During the battle, Godzilla was confused at the sight of the Godzilla Tower, and approached it curiously. The Nebula M aliens took the oppurtuiny to use the tower's laser on Godzilla, repeatedly blasting him and pinning him down. Anguirus attempted to aid his under fire comrade, but Gigan and Ghidorah stood in his way, blocking his path.
However, Gengo and co returned with the JSDF to destroy the tower's control room. Using one of Gengo's drawings to trick the aliens to open fire on explosives set in the tower's elevator, the head of the tower was destroyed in the explosion, along with the laser, and the control signal for Gigan and Ghidorah. In the rubble, Kubota and Fumio Sudo reverted back to their true insect forms, wondering where did their plan go wrong.

The tide now turned in their favor, Godzilla and Anguirus regrouped and resumed the fight against their two adversaries, destroying much of the remaining theme park in the battle.
