Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters #12 is an IDW comic book, and the last issue in its series. It was released on February 15, 2012.

Description

The evil twins are gone. Godzilla lies dormant. The monsters that roam the earth are wounded, battered, exhausted...if mankind has any chance of recovering from this disaster, now is the moment. But with the world in ruin and civilization in total disarray, can anything still be salvaged? The fate of humanity is determined in Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters #12!

Plot

With numerous cities gone and untold numbers dead, the world begins the slow steps towards recovery in the aftermath of the monster apocalypse. We see various cities and other locations in ruin, but with them signs of people beginning to move forward. Though the world has suffered unimaginable loss, humanity’s hope, ingenuity, and refusal to give up persists. In Detroit, Mechagodzilla undergoes repairs as humanity prepares to rebuild civilization, preparing to begin a new life among the monsters. Unbeknownst to all, on the surface of the Moon, SpaceGodzilla silently observes the Earth with sinister intent.
