He and the Kraken took the offense on Batman, Robin, Alfred, and Barbara Gordon in a building next to Arkham Asylum. Despite the combined efforts of himself, the Kraken, and Sauron, King Kong failed at capturing Batman and his allies. When Barbara Gordon, Dick Grayson, and Alfred attempted to sneak back into Wayne Manor, King Kong captured them in their vehicle before proceeding to tear it off and give chase with the police commissioner and butler. Managing grab ahold of Barbara, King Kong prepared to ingest her before he came face-to-face with Dick in the bat scuttle flying at him with self-destruct activated. The automobile crashing into his face, King Kong fell into the sea with his head lit aflame.

At some point, Kong was sent back to the Phantom Zone offscreen.
