Forum - Godzilla vs Kong will be something else

With the reveals that we have received (though we do not know what they mean fully), it is clear we are in for a spectacle. But what is more is that it seems that we are not looking at your average Kaiju film. Sure, we will see the fight with Godzilla and Kong, and we will get Mechagodzilla, but there are other reveals that might set Godzilla vs Kong apart from prior Godzilla movies:

• The PG-13 rating is reportedly an “understatement”, according to Adam Wingard, the director. Yes, there has been some pretty bloody scenes in prior Godzilla movies, but if this is any proof that Godzilla vs Kong has barely managed to avoid an R rating, then we could be in for a gore fest like none we’ve seen before in the franchise.
• An original Kaiju, Nozuki, will appear, as revealed by the toy line. While we do not know what this new Kaiju is (heck, it could be a whole species), but Nozuki has the potential to add a new spin in the fight. It has recently been named “Warbat” as well.
• Godzilla and Kong have new abilities, as revealed by Adam Wingard and the toy line. This is probably the most adamant evidence for this point. Kong will be armed with an axe in the film, which gives an interestingly human feeling to the fight. Godzilla will have some new abilities in the movie, and the toy line has revealed a power boost titled “Mega Godzilla”, which has Godzilla with red armor-like structures on him. Whatever this power boost means for Godzilla, it will really help add a unique spin on the Big G’s arsenal.

Though we still have until May 21 next year to see how the movie turns out, we can be assured that Godzilla vs Kong will be something else entirely!
