Here's a thread for people to discuss about my upcoming Godzilla fanfic project Varan vs. Megaguirus

Synopsis: This opens with a prologue set in November 1993, 35 years after the events of Varan the Unbelievable. A team of scientists, agents and explorers led by Prof. Yoshizawa and Dr. Serizawa (maybe appearing in Anguirus 2000) find a massive cave/cavern in Siberia and discover a skeleton resembling Rodan (an homage to the original 1956 film, in which the Meganulon debuted) and another resembling Megaguirus. Next to such is an egg that apparently hatched some time before the humans opened up the cave/cavern. Natives witnessed it leave its tomb but are too frightened to speak of it, similar to the original 1958 Varan film. Yoshizawa & Serizawa note that the egg only hatched days prior then turn their attention to a giant hole in the earth where the creature flew off. Then a nearby nuclear plant is not only destroyed by the new creature, but also by Varan. Eight years later (in November 2001, a year after Anguirus 2000 and before Giant Monsters All-Out Attack), a man named Masato, who actually witnessed the events when Varan destroy the aforementioned plant back then (and was driven nearly insane by just the sight of Varan alone), tries to prove that it wasn't a natural disaster and that it's being covered up by authorities. He; along with Takehiro, Naomi, Hiroshi & Mayu (the protagonists of Anguirus 2000), go back to the sight of the plant and find they've an egg similar to the last one, which soon hatches and the monster dubbed Megaguirus gets loose. Next is the exposition scene; we learn that after the Megaguirus hatched in the cave/cavern, it travelled to the plant to nest there. But Varan showed up and killed it, unintentionally destroying the plant in the process. An egg was unknowingly left behind and survived. This is when the humans discuss not only Varan's appearance, but also the recent events of the Heisei Gamera films and Anguirus 2000. Yoshizawa and Serizawa theorise that these events and monsters are possibly linked and that the three (Varan, Gamera & Anguirus) were keeping Earth, nature, life itself, etc in balance. Later on, Megaguirus terrorises Tibet but Varan intervenes and stop the Queen in time but she escapes. Then in Taiwen, Varan & Megaguirus have their final match, from which the Guardian of the Sky himself rises triumphant. He takes off into the air once more as our human heroes look on in awe.

That's my idea so far. What do you think of it? Please feel free to post any opinions, thoughts, ideas and advice in the comments down below. Thank you and cheers.
