Well, of course nuclear weapons, man's recklessness, but also the past, with him being a dinosaurian creature from prehistoric times, the present, with him being a metaphor for nuclear annihilation, and future, as he is indestructible.

Yes if he was real he would be a walking force of nature and there would be nothing we could do about it.
