An as-yet-untitled Godzilla short film is planned to be directed by Kazuhiro Nakagawa for release at Godzilla Fest 2023 on November 3, 2023. The fourth annual festival film Nakagawa has made since 2020, it will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jet Jaguar, who debuted in Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973). It is intended to employ a crowdfunded replica of the Jet Jaguar suit to be created by Shinichi Wakasa.^[1]

Development

A crowdfunding campaign to produce a new Jet Jaguar suit, labeled the "Jet Jaguar Suit Reproduction Project," opened on Ubgoe on June 26, 2023 with a goal of ¥8 million. It concluded that August 31, failing to reach its goal but nonetheless raising ¥5,397,552 from 458 backers.^[1]
