The Yokaiju (妖怪獣 Yōkaijū) is a giant yokai kaiju that appears in the 2021 Yokai Monsters film The Great Yokai War: Guardians. And serves as the film’s main antagonist.
Design
In its first form, the Yokaiju resembles an ammonite with a ghostly Human face that emerges from the shell while its second form the Yokaiju appears as a white serpentine monster with a segmented hide. Its face is short, with four glowing red eyes and numerous straw-like horns sticking out. The creature's upper jaw is covered in teeth while the lower can split into a pair of insect-like mandibles.
