Giant Armadillo is an Armadillo kaiju created by TriStar Pictures that first appeared in the Godzilla: The Series episode Area 51.
History

Area 51
The Giant Armadillo was a mutation caused by nuclear testing at Area 51 in the 1950's. It burrowed out of its enclosure and began to run amok inside the walls of Area 51 and was mistaken for an alien spacecraft by two trespassers. This encounter made it onto TV, and attracted the attention of H.E.A.T., who came to help the military with its mutation problem. It proved a challenge for them, as it destroyed their jeep and began to charge after them. They then formulated a plan to entangle it in the root system of a giant Mesquite plant, also created by the nuclear tests, and were successful. Giant Armadillo was then transported back into its enclosure.

Burrowing
The Giant Armadillo can burrow deep into the ground.
Armor
The Giant Armadillo can curl into a ball to expose only its tough armor.
