Tokyo Bay (東京湾,   Tōkyō-wan) is a bay located in the southern Kantō region of Japan, and spans the coasts of Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture, and Chiba Prefecture. Tokyo Bay is connected to the Pacific Ocean. It is featured in many Godzilla films, beginning with 1954's Godzilla. During that film, Godzilla first emerged from the eastern part of the bay and into the city, later retreating along the same path. The following night he again emerged from the bay and destroyed much of Tokyo. Following his second night of destruction, Godzilla was killed when Dr. Daisuke Serizawa deployed his Oxygen Destroyer weapon in the bay, liquefying the monster.

Godzilla also appeared in Tokyo Bay in The Return of Godzilla (1984), Godzilla 2000: Millennium, Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack, and Shin Godzilla, as well as the novel Godzilla Returns. Other monsters have also appeared in the bay, such as Varan in his self-titled film and Mechagodzilla (as Fake Godzilla) in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974). It was also where part of the final battle between Sanda and Gaira took place in The War of the Gargantuas (1966).
