Dogfighters (ドッグファイター are swift and maneuverable jet fighters that first appeared in the Doggufaitā)2004 Godzilla film, Godzilla: Final Wars.
History
Millennium era
Godzilla: Final Wars
The Dogfighter was deployed from the Gotengo to destroy the shield of the Xilien Mothership. The pilot, Kazama, flew the Dogfighter towards the ship, fighting off Xilien Fighters as it approached one of the external ports. Once inside, Kazama piloted the dogfighter through the ship and to the shield generator. Kazama sacrificed himself by crashing the ship into the generator, destroying the shield in the process.

The Gotengo acts as a mother ship for the Dogfighter, being both a submarine aircraft carrier and airborne aircraft carrier. This would make the Dogfighter a parasite aircraft. A similar relationship would be used in Godzilla: King of the Monsters for Monarch's USS Argo and it's Osprey, with the former being the mother ship and the latter the parasite craft, respectively.
