Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | GODZILLA 2 is an unmade direct sequel to the 1998 TriStar Pictures film GODZILLA. TriStar had planned to produce a trilogy of Hollywood Godzilla films, with Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin set to return to direct and produce the sequels. Tab Murphy wrote a story treatment for the sequel, featuring the sole surviving offspring of the first Godzilla battling a giant termite monster dubbed the "Queen Bitch" in Australia. The sequel was abandoned after Emmerich and Devlin left the project over budget disputes, with the animated Godzilla: The Series ultimately serving as the only continuation to the 1998 film. |
