Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | Shinobu Nakayama (中山忍, Nakayama Shinobu) is a Japanese actress and former singer. The younger sister of actress Miho Nakayama, she released her first single in 1988, the same year in which she made her acting debut in the television drama Otokodarotsu. She began acting in both television and film, and became the first actress to appear in both the Godzilla and Gamera series after acting in both Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II and Gamera the Guardian of the Universe. Her role in Gamera the Guardian of the Universe as heroine Mayumi Nagamine earned her several awards for best supporting actress, including a nomination for "Best Supporting Actress" at the 19th Japan Academy Awards. She later reprised the role in Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris. |
