The Kaiju for Godzilla King of the Monsters have finally had stats revealed, and here’s what’s to say on them:
King Ghidorah will be 521 feet tall, according to the Monarch Sciences website. This makes the Monsterverse King Ghidorah the tallest King Ghidorah so far, topping the one from Godzilla x King Ghidorah, who is 150 meters (about 492 feet) tall. Sadly, he will most likely not get his time in the sun as the biggest for very long. With the third film in the Godzilla anime trilogy in the works, Toho will most likely make King Ghidorah bigger, so he can be a fight for the 300 meter Godzilla. To put this in perspective, it is a shorter time than MonsterVerse Godzilla, who got 2 years before he was topped by Shin Godzilla, who was then topped by Godzilla Earth a year later (Note: I am not including Hanna Barbera Godzilla). In fact, it’ll mean that he’ll be topped before he even gets his film appearance. Still, the Monsterverse Ghidorah can enjoy these months of fame as the tallest.
Meanwhile, the two other Legendary renditions will not huge record breakers. Rodan will be 154 feet tall and has a wingspan of 871 feet, according to the Monarch Sciences website. This means that he is shorter than the Showa Era Rodan, who is 50 meters (about 165 feet). But he still sets a record for the longest wingspan of the other Rodan variations, topping the Millenium Era Rodan’s wingspan of 200 meters (about 656 feet).
Mothra will be 52 feet tall, and have a wingspan of 803 feet, according to the website. This seems to be the first proper height given to a Mothra variation. However, the very original Mothra’s wingspan is 250 meters (about 820 feet), making the new Mothra wingspan second longest.
So, if you wish, leave comments about your opinion on my description of where the Monsterverse variations are in perspective with the sizes of their originals, please do. Thank you and bye!
