"Valkyr" turns up repeatedly on Hong Gi-hun's site, all the way back to 2007. (He's a prominent Korean kaiju fan). So there's obviously something to the name - it's just unclear whether it's a fan name, a name only used in the Korean dub, or a name only used in supplementary Korean materials.
