Welcome to my page!

How did you get here? Don't ask me, I don't know. Basic info first. My current name, which I don't plan on ever changing any time soon, (I've been through so many...) is TheYellowShyGuy, I'm from the UK and I like Doctor Who. Yup, just that. Nothing else.

Although actually... Believe it or not, I also like Godzilla. Think that makes sense considering I'm here. I also like Gamera, Invader Zim, the Child's Play / Chucky movies (not the TV show), and numerous other things. My favourite kaiju of all time is Monster X, and is the only one I own any merch of (my room is tiny). I was present on this website back in the days when it migrated from Fandom to a site of its own, and I still check in every now and then and keep in touch with a few friends made from here. I was also a former patroller despite this not being listed anywhere on the staff page.

Here's the bit now where I list my favourite Godzilla films and stuff.

  • Favourite Showa Godzilla film - Gojira
  • Favourite Heisei Godzilla film - Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah
  • Favouritte Millennium Godzilla film - Godzilla: Final Wars
  • Favourite Reiwa Godzilla film - Godzilla: The Planet Eater
  • Favourite American Godzilla film - Godzilla vs. Kong

My favourite overall is Final Wars, which probably isn't too surprising given who my favourite kaiju is. For me that film just embodies everything I love about the Godzilla franchise. It's insane, it's over the top and it's all around just a really fun time. If you were to ask me for my favourite Gamera film, I'd tell you it's Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris, and if you were to ask what my favourite non-Godzilla film from Toho is, I'd answer with House. I love that movie very much for the same reason I love Final Wars, and you're doing yourself a disservice if you haven't seen it. My favourite monster movie originating outside of Japan typically goes back and forth between the original King Kong from 1933 and the original Nosferatu from 1922. Both great and very infleuntial films, even if the former has aged poorly somewhat in regards to racial stereotypes.

I've not read many Godzilla comics, but from what I have I'd say my favourites are Godzilla in Hell, those two issues of Rage Across Time set in ancient Greece and Medieval England, and that one issue of Legends with the mountain climber who climbs up Godzilla.

I think this is something you should all see, because Baby Godzilla is a good lad.
