"Godzilla" is a song performed by the hard rock and heavy metal band Blue Öyster Cult in 1977, written in homage to the Godzilla series. Written by the band's lead guitarist and vocalist Buck Dharma, when performed live the song would bring on stage a Godzilla dummy and have the drummer wearing a mask of the kaiju during his solo. A cover of the song composed by Bear McCreary and performed by System of a Down's Serj Tankian was included in the soundtrack for the 2019 film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Brendon Small and Gene Hoglan of the band Dethklok from the Adult Swim animated TV series Metalocalypse also contributed to this cover.
