Written by the band's lead guitarist and vocalist Buck Dharma, when performed live the song would bring on stage a Godzilla dummy and have the drummer wearing a mask of the kaiju during his solo. A cover of the song composed by Bear McCreary and performed by System of a Down's Serj Tankian was included in the soundtrack for the 2019 film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Brendon Small and Gene Hoglan of the band Dethklok from the Adult Swim animated TV series Metalocalypse also contributed to this cover. |
