I would consider SMG-IInd separate from Mechagodzilla but clearly inspired by it, akin to Cybersaur and Robogodzilla. As far as I'm aware, the game doesn't explain what SMG stands for. Same goes for MGR-IInd.
Kinda weird that it doesn't explain the acronyms, even though what they stand for is kinda obvious. 🤔
im surprised that they could've given all the Kaiju in that game, new names like, Spacegodzilla-2nd or Biollante-2nd, wait that would have been silly.
