Nor do merch pages include all those details please revert it i cant because im on mobile
Are you sure? I guess I was under the assumption because the S.H. Monsterarts page does.
Thats not what the Sh monsterarts page looks like
It does not list who sculpted what or a price tags
Okay will revert.
Mentioning the people who worked on each statue is fine - a few of our SHMA listings name the sculptor. It's just not information that's usually available for merch. We don't mention MSRPs though; they stop being useful as soon as the item is discontinued.
No i mean how he was formating the page isnt how its done
Having a specific section for who sculpted what for example
The monsterarts page doesnt format it like that.
In case you forgot the info for products was formatted like this
Then fix it instead of erasing everything.
I CANT i would if i could but im on mobile atm (i literally said this in my second post how do you miss that?) far from PC and its a pain to fix and i cant simply go back to an earlier edit on mobile to copy and paste for some reason because the older code isnt showing for me at all on mobile.
Then it could've waited.
Oh alright, sounds good.
There's no formal rule about the MSRPs. There are other pages where they are mentioned, i.e. here and here.
Im going off of how SHMA was formatted also one page seem dated imo
I feel there isnt much consistency with some merch pages and im frankly confused now
The Sluban page is not "dated," it was made around the time of GKOTM. The Hyper Modeling Series page I just never finished
That didnt really address the second part of my comment
Im lost now on how this is supposed to look
It's hard to enforce consistency when these products can be so varied. You're not going to know the model number, dimensions, price, sculptor etc. of every piece of merchandise, so the pages just incorporate whatever information is available. I'm sure there are things to be improved, but you can start suggesting.
I mean
This makes sense
but i agree prices become moot after a product gets sold out But i think some of this info isnt avalible on every piece of mondo merch
I apologize for the confusion, I was simply editing but I didn't want to cause any dismay. So what will be allowed on Merchandise pages? (Small info, release date, sculptors, MSRPs, etc)
All of the above sounds fine to me, where available.
Abb said they didnt think prices are helpfull because it becomes moot once it sold out and i have to agree a bit.
And then I gave examples where the prices are already being given on the site. Here's another one. He said in Discord that it seems harmless to include.
Also mondo has shirts and posters what do i do there?
I think if said information is available (for most if not all Mondo statues and figures have the creators listed) then it should be put in, and if very little of a certain product has info as such (like clothing or posters) than it could be avoided as a whole for said categories
I dont even know what years the posters came out
Reverse image searches would probably be the best way to find that information. Mind you, I think the Figures and Statues sections on the page are the only ones that needed to be broken down by year - it gets unwieldy after a certain point. Best to put poster years and such in captions.
You can tell what years if you filter by release year on the website
Okay so I'll remove the MSRPs and if I come across products where certain information isn't available I'll make sure to fix accordingly.
Nevermind, Mondo page has been formatted correctly.
The MSRPs are fine, that's what I meant by "all of the above."
