I asked Monster Island Buddies about the scan and he sent me the book cover - it's Godzilla Desktop Collection <Digital Fan Books> (ゴジラ デスクトップコレクション ＜デジタルファンブックス＞). I OCR'd the text about the forehead laser, ran it through DeepL, and got this: "Beam firing lamp: A lamp that fires a beam of destructive light. Its power is enough to raise Lake Biwa a thousand feet in 10 seconds." Not sure what to make of it, but I asked Les to take a crack at it.

Please be as specific as possible with your citations with respect to recent and future edits - the claim about Ebirah's swordsmanship as stated in Toho Special Effects All Monster Encyclopedia should have a full citation with a page number, for instance. Naming a lengthy Japanese book without a page number doesn't narrow it down much for English-speakers who want to verify the information.

yeah sorry about the page number thing thats my bad, all the information I had about it was which book it had come from and the part it came from. the photo unfortunately did not include the page number so i kinda had to wing, i understand now that that wasn't the best option to do.

I wrote down the Japanese manually and this was DeepL's result:

ABB's OCR result wasn't posted here but he sent it to me on Discord, and I think the problem was that it saw 干 (dry) as 千 (thousand).
