"Go! Warrior of Love"

One night, Jun got out of bed to ask her mother about Takeshi. She was reminded that Takeshi was abroad, so she shouts a greeting so he can hear her before going back to bed. While Takeshi trained in India, he thought back to a time he carried Jun on his shoulders to give him the resolve to face a gauntlet of fire.

"Fight! Rainbow Seven"

Jun accompanied Gota and Shosuke Yamada to the airport, where they met with her brother Takeshi, who was returning from a long time abroad in India. They tearfully embraced before resuming life as normal. Later on, Jun was playing baseball with Shosuke and their friend Hiroshi Toyama, when Hiroshi's mother arrived, and angrily took him away.

"Secret of the Underground Cavern"

When Gota Yamada caught a young boy named Goro stealing fruit, Takeshi invited him in for a free meal and Jun and Shosuke listened to him explain himself. When his father went missing, Goro walked to Tokyo to search for him with only water to drink, and was starving by the time he arrived. Jun admired his courage, and he did regret being forced to turn to theft, so they banded together to search the city with pictures of the man to gather leads. While they were out, Shosuke spotted Goro's father, but he seemed not to recognize his son. This led to them being kidnapped by the Die-Die Gang, and tossed in the back of one of their work trucks. They were brought to a Die-Die Gang base in the countryside, where they were kept tied up. When Rainbowman began to menace the base, they were brought out as an ultimatum: Rainbowman would either stop his attack, or the children would be shot. Goro's father, who had been freed of his mind control, used construction equipment to scare the gang off, and Rainbowman set the kids free. When Rainbowman had defeated the gang, Jun and the others said goodbye to Goro and his father at the train station.

On Jun's birthday, Rainbowman finally defeated the Die-Die Gang. While waiting for her brother to arrive at her birthday party, Jun was shocked and delighted when he came home with their long-missing and thought dead father, Ichiro Yamato, as a birthday present. The two them then embraced for the first time in a very long time.

When Takeshi returned to Japan, he visited the Omiyas at the research laboratory. Yoko met him at the door, and cold-shouldered the boy until he gave her a sculpture he got for her during his travels. Yoko was impressed, but her father quickly arrived and took Takeshi into the lab.

Yoko was in Tokyo waiting for a bus one day when she was spotted by Takeshi Yamato, who tried to get her attention. She instead continued on her way, not interested in speaking to the boy. He later caught up to her, and asked her if she wanted to get something to eat. She was not hungry, and declined. He asked if she wanted to grab a drink, but she was not thirsty, and declined. He tried again to ask just to talk to her, but she firmly displayed her lack of interest in spending time with him, and told him plainly that if he was looking for a date, he had better find someone else to ask. Takeshi was confused by this, as he hadn't meant to ask her on a date, but before their miscommunication can be clarified, they are interrupted by a gas explosion at a nearby construction site. Takeshi threw himself on top of Yoko to protect her from the blast, and they then watched workers running from the blaze, and Takeshi ran into the fire to try and rescue any trapped workers.

Trivia

  • Yoko's design went through a considerable change late into the show's development. This is evidenced by her appearance in production materials and merchandise depicting a much more demure and "traditionally feminine" design than the contemporary look she has in thr series.
