I ask random questions.

Will we ever get a sequel to Shin godzilla?

13
Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

would it be likely that Shin godzilla would get sequel?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

Who will know?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Hope not. That ending's perfect the way it is. Anyway, Anno seems pretty busy giving every other tokusatsu icon the Shin treatment.

Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

I think we should at least get to see what other kaiju look like in the Shin godzilla universe

Doomzilla (talkcontribs)

I highly doubt they would continue Shin Godzilla and i think its for the best as less is more produce a far more impact than knowing more.

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

The closest thing that we have to a sequel would be... Godzilla vs Evangelion: The Real 4-D, there are also hints thought Japanese media Shin Godzilla could Get A Sequel Because of its Popularity in Japan!

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

These hints being?

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

Shorts and 4-D films.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

I didn't ask for proof that it was popular - that's plain enough.

I want to add images

Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

I want to add images to the Godzilla Battle Line page but I do not know how. Can someone please help.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Click this button while editing to upload images:

You can also upload images on this page, but it's more cumbersome as you can only do one at a time.

Zengan seijin (talkcontribs)

do you want upload image or add image to the page?

Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

I want to add an image to the page

How did Godzilla 1998 happen in the GMK timeline?

11
Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

The Godzilla timeline page says that 1998 happened so how did it fit in?

Les (talkcontribs)

GMK and G98 don't ever contradict each other, so there's not much to wonder about. They take place in different years in completely different parts of the world, so there isn't much reason why they can't have happened in the same world.

Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

ohhhhh OK but 1954 also happened and I'm pretty sure a giant radioactive monster would be worldwide especially if it (kinda) happened again

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

G98 would definitely play differently if the characters knew about another giant monster attacking Japan 44 years ago, but I don't think the plot would change all that much.

Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

Eh yeah, if a giant monster attack 44 yrs ago it would be different

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

Only this dialogue in GMK suggests a shared universe:

Kaiju No. 14 (talkcontribs)

What is the point of asking such unnecessary questions?

Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

Jeez I'm just asking

AngiraBlu (talkcontribs)

Guys. 🤨😑

Be. Nice.

Is the Rodan from "King Ghidorah, the 3 headed monster" the same Rodan from "Rodan"?

10
Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

Is one of them the same Rodan.

Les (talkcontribs)

It's unclear. Princess Salno comments Rodan was "resurrected" by volcanic gases in Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, but it's not entirely clear if she's referring to one of the original two. No official sources comment on it, beyond the post-1956 Rodan being called "Second Generation" sometimes.

AngiraBlu (talkcontribs)

Like Les said, it's never truly explored.

However, remember that baby Rodan that hatched in Rodan? I think that might've become the 2nd gen Rodan. I know they said it was probably fully-grown, when it hatched, but I just don't see that actually being the case. Cuz I'm pretty sure that egg wasn't even 164.14 feet (50 meters) tall, based on the size of Shigeru Kawamura.

Les (talkcontribs)

Huh? The baby that hatches flies out of the hole. It's one of the two adults.

AngiraBlu (talkcontribs)

Like I said, I know that's what they said, but I don't buy it. Especially with how long it took form the egg hatching to the 1st Rodan attacks. I just can't see it being fully-grown AND being 50 meters tall, all while inside its egg, which looks like it's gotta at least be a quarter to half the size of the adults.

Plus, the 2 1st gen Rodans' cause of death was "death by volcano," while the 2nd gen one got revived by volcanic gases. Unless they can somehow pull a Divine Moth or something, I just can't see either gens being the same kaiju.

Les (talkcontribs)

I mean I guess, if you want to ignore the entire plot of the movie.

The egg was 80 meters tall, according to Godzilla Monsters All Encyclopedia. Rodan (who was irradiated, keep in mind) ends up being 50 meters by the time he attacks Fukuoka. He either hatched fully grown or rapidly grew between the time he hatched and when he reemerged. It's fine to headcanon, but I think it's a weird position to take. The actual point of contention is not if the Rodan that hatches is one of the two that dies (because it very obviously is), the point of contention is whether one of those two is the Rodan that was "revived" in GtTHM. There's been no clarification on that.

The H-Man (talkcontribs)

Two Rodans died at Mt. Aso and Shin'ichi Sekizawa scripts a line that says Rodan is being "resurrected" (fukkatsu being precisely the word he uses) at the same volcano. Since there's no more evidence in the movie that it's a third member of the species, IMO it has to be one of the two from the 1956 movie (regardless of what's been printed in other works).

AngiraBlu (talkcontribs)

Waaaiiit, wait, wait, wait. The egg. Was 80. Meters. Tall?! While the Showa Rodans are all 50 meters tall???

This suddenly went from "Who's Really Who" to "Wait, W-T-Frickbiscuit???", real quick!

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

You're surprised by nonsensical kaiju stats at this point?

AngiraBlu (talkcontribs)

Well, yeah. Cuz it doesn't make sense. Especially the unnecessary extra 30 meters of egg-dwelling wiggle room.

But then again, sci-fi was truly never supposed to male sense, now was it? That's why it has "fiction" in its name. It's all supposed to be nonsensical.

(*😳🤯 Holy 💩azoid, I should totally patent that 2nd paragraph as a quote. 🤣*)

Does Minilla become Godzilla in Destroy All Monsters?

6
Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

Does he?

Les (talkcontribs)

I don't quite understand what you're asking - does he become the Showa Godzilla, or does he grow up to be another Godzilla?

In either case, nothing like that happens in Destroy All Monsters. The Godzilla that appears is the same one from all the previous movies since Godzilla Raids Again and Minilla appears alongside him. Minilla helps the monsters kill Ghidorah and then they all return to Monsterland.

Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

What I'm asking is if Minilla became the showa Godzilla we see in Destroy All Monsters and has his own Minilla, cuz Destroy All Monsters is supposed to be in the future

Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

And also Minilla don't look a day old

Les (talkcontribs)

They are officially the same Godzilla and Minilla. Godzilla has lived for millions of years, so his life cycle is evidently very slow.

Iguanzilla (talkcontribs)

Oh

Am I the only person who thinks that Yung from godzilla singular point kinda looks like face from the nes creepy pasta?
