Charlton Comics, was a Connecticut-based American comic book publishing company that operated from 1945 to 1986, when it was bought by competitor DC Comics.

While Charlton did publish original books, they were also famous for their producing comics based on popular movies and TV shows including Gorgo and Konga, both of which had two ongoing series and various other appearances, continuing their stories from the films in which they starred. These were Gorgo, which ran from 1961 to 1965, followed by The Return of Gorgo, which lasted only three issues. Also debuting in 1961 and ending in 1965 was Konga, followed by a three issue series titled Konga's Revenge in 1964.
