Kaijupedia is a collaborative kaiju encyclopedia based on the wiki concept and hosted by Wikia.com.

Name

Kaijupedia's name is a portmanteau of the words "Kaiju" (Japanese term for giant monster) and "pedia" (from encyclopedia).

History

Kaijupedia started out as a ploy to destroy the original Wikizilla over on Wikia (godzilla.wikia.com) and distinguish it from the soon-to-be-launched Wikizilla.org.

Staff

As of July 2016, Kaijupedia shares most of its staff with Wikizilla. However, given Wikia's past record of heavily reprimanding staff from Wikis which become independent, it is likely that this is going to change. Template:ERA
