Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | Sagami Bay (相模湾, Sagami-wan) is a bay along the Pacific coast of Honshu, the largest island in the Japanese archipelago. It is formed by the Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture to the east, the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture to the west, the Shōnan coastline to the north, and the island of Izu Ōshima to the south. It has appeared in several forms of media, notably Godzilla movies such as the 1962 film King Kong vs. Godzilla, the 1972 film Godzilla vs. Gigan, the 2016 film Shin Godzilla, and the 2023 film Godzilla Minus One. |
