The Marvel Godzilla was created from nuclear weapon testing in the Pacific, and attacked Tokyo in the late 1950s. By unknown means he was trapped in an iceberg and managed to break free once the iceberg reached Alaska in the 1970s.

The Marvel Godzilla (ゴジラ,   Gojira) is an incarnation of Godzilla that first appeared in Marvel Comics' Godzilla, King of the Monsters series.
