What type of dinosaur was he?
Any ideas if so
How he came to look like he is in the Toho films and gain size and powers

| Probably an ankylosaurid. and maybe it could of been like superspecies kinda like how the capybara most likely grew an immense size after them realizing there is no predators in South America at the time when they arrived probably a few million years ago. And it could of eaten so much that they grew to an astounding amount of size. They might of gotten powers from the usual radiation or something unique like a meteor that hit the earth. and then they got new genetics and they reproduced but then made a burrow hideout like prairie dogs.
