Outside of Japan, America is the only country that has made 'official' Godzilla movies - both good and bad. What I would like to know is, in your opinion, are there other countries you think could do a good (or at the very least decent) Godzilla movie?

Personally (and I realized that this may seem biased as it's the country I'm from), I think Britain could do a decent version.

In the past, Britain has made some pretty chilling programs and films regarding what would happen in the event of nuclear strikes - which didn't hide the horrors of nuclear warfare, with examples including 1965's "The War Game (https://vimeo.com/90896890), 1984's "Threads" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2EOSgmx-MA , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrHoMSRZOS4 ) and 1986's "When the Wind Blows" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h1lRqUBuSI ). On top of that, some of our Public Information Films can be downright scary ( X X X X )

Taking those into account, if Britain made a Godzilla movie and went with the original idea of Godzilla metaphorically been a symbol of the horrors of nuclear warfare, I think they could pull off something good. An idea would maybe be for Godzilla to unleash his Nuclear Pulse in London, but his Nuclear Pulse in this case actually resembling an enormous nuclear bomb blast.

What about you guys? Which other countries do you think could make a good or at least decent Godzilla movie?

You damn right we Brits can do such a good film. I bet we could even one about Manda. I also wanna see: A Russian film about Rodan, A Chinese film about Mothra, And a French film about Baragon and/or Gorosaurus.

Yeah, I agree with Son of Gorgo, the 1961 film Gorgo was a good film, and deserves a modern remake seeing more landmarks of London was built after 1961 that Ogra can destroy.

But, I'll would like to see my homecountry the Philippines create and produce at least one giant monster movie, who comes ashore and rampages through Manila, it could be a standalone Hedorah film seeing Manila is very polluted in real-life.

There's Anak ng Bulkan, I guess. Also, the Filipino version of the original Godzilla, Tokyo 1960, apparently spliced in footage of Tessie Quintana, Eddie del Mar, and Zaldy Zshornack. Unfortunately, no footage from it has ever surfaced; all we have are posters.

To answer the original question: A Bollywood Godzilla movie would be a transcendent experience. As for Gorgo, unless that false report of Edgar Wright directing a remake ever comes to pass, it's fine the way it is.

I think Brazil, due to the fact that the Amazon rainforest is burning down, a kaiju could be a good way of saying that the fires must stop. The kaiju could be hedorah, because of the smoke, behemoth, because that's it's main ability. Or maybe even a brand new kaiju, like a giant andaconda, or a iteration of magirapani, which could actually exsit, due to the fact that the Amazon rainforest is largely unexplored.
