- Parameters

- Insert the article name as the first unspecified parameter, like such:
{{wp|Article title}}(Article title
). You can optionally display text different from what the Wikipedia page is called: {{wp|Article title|this text shows instead of 'Article title'}}(this text shows instead of 'Article title')
|sd=(for subdomain) or|region=— must be specified by inserting|sd=or|region=. Default is en for the English Wikipedia.
- Indicates which language Wikipedia you are linking to, such as ja for Japanese, fr for French, de for German, and es for Spanish.
- Example usage
- Link to the Barack Obama on the English-language Wikipedia ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama ) with
{{wp|Barack Obama}}.
This gives: Barack Obama - Link to the Qyoko Kudo article on the Japanese Wikipedia ( https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/久藤今日子 ) with
