Fall Guys, formerly Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, is a platform battle royale game developed by Mediatonic. The game features five Godzilla-themed costumes.
Gameplay
The gameplay consists of up to 60 players, represented by jellybean-like figures, competing in rounds of randomly selected mini-games and maps. The controls are relatively simple and consist of moving around, jumping, grabbing/climbing and diving. The goal is to either avoid obstacles or achieve a passable score and not get disqualified. With each round having less players than before, the last surviving players have to race and grab the crown, and the player who manages to do so is declared the winner.
Kudos are an in-game currency which players can use to buy cosmetics, patterns, nametags, nameplates, faceplates and colors for their character. Kudos can be obtained by doing daily challenges.
The game is regularly updated with new costumes, which are mostly available for a limited time. The newly-added costumes are sometimes of characters from other franchises, like Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress 2, Doom, Cuphead, Among Us, Godzilla, and so on.
Monster costumes
On November 1, 2020, the first Godzilla costume appeared on the Featured Items rotating pool and a short promotional video was made for its release. It could be bought for 10 Crowns (5 each), which was later changed to 22000 Kudos (11000 each) following the Season 5.2 (Legacy) update on October 5, 2021. It could also be bought for 1500 Show-Bucks (900 for the upper half and 600 for the lower half) or 1200 as a bundle with a 20% discount. The costume was available once again from February 21 to July 20, 2021. It is the first costume to appear more than once in the Featured Store.
On March 24, 2021, another variation of the Godzilla costume, Godzilla 1995, appeared on the Featured Items rotating pool. It was available on the regular items rotating pool from July 20 to October 5, 2021. Its price is the same as the other Godzilla costume and is the second costume overall to appear in the Featured Store more than once.
On 21 June, 2021, Season 1: Free for All was introduced and with it came the Mechagodzilla costume. It could only be obtained by reaching paid levels 99 (for the upper half) and 96 (for the lower half) during the season. The costume was removed as the season changed.
From July 21 to 25, 2022, the two Godzilla costumes were once again available and two new kaiju costumes were added: Mothra and King Ghidorah.[1] The two new costumes could be bought for 1500 Show-Bucks (900 for the upper half and 600 for the lower half) or 1200 as a bundle with a 20% discount.
On November 17, 2022, the Mothra, King Ghidorah and Godzilla 1995 costume were available once again.[2]
