Gamera the Guardian of the Universe (ガメラ大怪獣空中決戦,   Gamera: Daikaijū Kūchū Kessen, lit. Gamera: Giant Monster Midair Battle) is a Gamera game for the original Game Boy. It was released to coincide with the movie of the same title, in 1995. The game was only released in Japanese, but an English fan translation by TransBRC was distributed online in 1999.[1]

Gameplay

The game is essentially a turn-based battler, in a similar vein to the Pokémon games for the same console. Its battle system is similar to that of an RPG game, but other than that, the similarities end there.
