James Rolfe, (born July 10, 1980) better know as the famous Angry Video Game Nerd, is a famous YouTube person who doesn't just review video games, but also movies. Among those are the whole Godzilla series. He mentioned that when he was a kid, he loved two things: videogames and giant japanese monsters, especially Godzilla. He is also a fan of King Kong and other horror stars. At Cinemassacre, he made a review series based on the Godzilla movies, Godzillathon.

In 2013, he reviewed every Gamera movie in the Showa series as a part of Cinemassare's Monster Madness: Sequel-A-Thon 2 and briefly talked about the Heisei Gamera films in one review.

Rolfe has also confided to fans that a scene in his AVGN film will be based on the Godzilla series.

Godzillathon #1 Godzilla (1954)
  1. Gojira
  2. Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah
  3. Godzilla: Final Wars
  4. Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack
  5. Godzilla vs. Mothra
  6. King Kong vs. Godzilla
  7. Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla
  8. Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.
  9. Godzilla vs. Destroyah
  10. Ghidrah, the Three-Headed Monster

In 2014, James finally gave his thoughts on the 2014 film, and although he enjoyed the movie, claiming that he actually saw a Godzilla movie, he complains that there's not enough Godzilla in it, the design of the MUTOS weren't original and felt a little too clichéd. However, he wishes that this movie was released earlier rather than the 1998 film.
