Major Spielberg (スピルバーグ少佐 Supirubāgu Shōsa) is an U.S. military officer character created by Toho who appeared in the 1991 Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. He is implied to be the father of real-life filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah
Major Spielberg was stationed in the Marshall Islands during the Pacific War in 1944. When the Futurian time machine KIDS arrived from 1992, rocketing towards Lagos Island, Spielberg and his commanding officer concluded that it was extraterrestrial in origin. Major Spielberg offered to report the sighting, but his superior persuaded him not to, saying, "You can tell your son about it when he's born."
Trivia
- While Steven Spielberg's father Arnold did enlist in the United States military during World War II, he was stationed in India. Steven himself was not born until 1946.
