Auto placeholders?

Is there feature that allows File:Test Image.png to automatically popup if there is no image uploaded but once an actual image is there it would disappear? Tried many guides for it but failed Nelspeedracer (talk) 20:20, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

There may be a complicated way to make that work, but I don't really see the point. You can just put "Test Image.png" in the |image= field.

If that field was autopopulated, it would break when you tried to use |altimage=, unless you manually specified |image= as blank. --Les (main | talk) 20:35, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
