Titans are ancient gigantic creatures that, according to Monarch, act as a defense for the Earth's ecosystem and ensure the survival of life. While Monarch studies any Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms around the globe, it appears to view the Titans as a distinct group of such creatures that are necessary for the planet's survival and are the "original and rightful rulers" of Earth, in contrast with other MUTOs which it deems to be threats. However, ancient accounts of some of the Titans, such as MUTO Prime, Rodan and Monster Zero, suggest they are destructive and dangerous.
