well to start off, The Rathalos has 2 types of flame breaths, a concentrated flamethrower and fire-balls,

He also uses his tail as his main weapon due to it having large amounts of poison it and it also uses its tail as a stinger to sometimes stab opponents

another part which could be ability or more like trivia, is that Rathalos is only male while the females are known as Rathians

Rathalos are known to be the king of the skies, they hate being on the ground

Even though the poison in his tail is never shown in the movie, it is heavily used in the video games (coming from a person who died 105 times to the creature)

wow, I just played monster hunter in the 3ds, he was super hard to kill tho

dang, anyways, the head is the most weak part of his body and his tail can be severed, just be careful, it still has its poison abilitys only in its talons and non-existent tail

then if you cant beat him try and play the mission online or . . . play the hub quests online and get really good armor and weapons to strike him down

Rathalos is weak to these elements ( Dragon- can get from Gore Magala weapons and Electricity - weapons that do lighting damage like the Kirin Zinogre or Astalos weapons)
