Are they also Great Apes?

I think judging by the context of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and some apes looking like Kong a bit. Even a scene from Godzilla vs. Kong: The Official Movie Novelization was adapted in the scene as a origin to Godzilla and Kong species war. I say my vote is yes. My interpretation is that Kong's species is a kind of Great Ape, but they aren't synonymous, much as numerous species are classified as Titans.--Astounding Beyond Belief (talk) 00:01, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

Like different subspecies or something that make them connected in some way? Thought some apes almost bear some resemblance go Kong and the Iwi stone tablets story seems to indicate they are Kong's species. Nelspeedracer (talk) 00:03, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
