While I love the show and think it's fantastically made, I struggle to think of any reasons why it needs a page on this website. It isn't very prominent; it's not breached any of the "mainstream" parts of the fandom and has stayed relatively enclosed in the YouTube circle. When looking through our assortment of covered unofficial content, there just doesn't seem to be a place where MIB fits in. Heritage, for example, is significant because of it's legal troubles with Toho and its significance as one of the first "major" fan film productions in the Godzilla fandom. Bambi vs. Godzilla, an unofficial animated short but one that was released in official capacity alongside Godzilla 1985 in the US. And among the others where a MIB page might seem to fit, I think should be looked at from a perspective of "do we need those pages as well?" I can think of at least three other fan content pages that we could probably delete or delegate to a trivia node on related pages.

I think it'll also open the floodgates for a wide berth of fan content on the website that could pose a problem. If MIB is believed to be significant enough to warrant a page, what about [x YouTube show]? Or [other fan content]? What dictates "significance"? It's a gray area.

Again, I love the channel and think it's one of the best (if not the best) Godzilla-related channels on YouTube, but I don't think it follows under our purview. I believe we should let the Godzilla Fanon Wiki cover this one.

I do agree, MIB is a bit of an oddball in whatever group you put it in, but I would argue against it not breaching the mainstream fandom, for in my experiences, it certainly has. I also agree to an extent that it could open the floodgates to people asking, but I don't think that's enough to keep it off the wiki. Out of curiosity, which other YouTube series do you think would be requested if MIB is added? And you're right about Zilla Fanon doing a good job at covering it. I think doing a full coverage of the series here isn't worth it, but it is worth giving a brief description/overview and linking to Zilla Fanon's summaries, similar to how we cover the Pacific Rim and Cloverfield franchises.

For example, I think it'd be fine to give a small summary of each season under plot, list the episodes and appearances with a little bit of trivia for good measure. Just surface level information, with links to the Zilla Fanon wiki for those who wish to learn more.

That's the thing, it doesn't really matter. The problem is that what qualifies as "significant" for fandom-related content is too subjective per person to regulate. The degrees of separation can be anything from "Oh, Monster Island Buddies is pretty significant, why not add DaikaijuLegends' Zone Fighter? Maybe Up From The Depths' channel should have a page too? And if we add him then..." You see what I mean? Fan content is an extremely slippery slope to go down, it's why a vast majority of wikis (like TFWiki and Wookieepedia) have little-to-no fan content covered. We might eventually get to the point where we're adding complete no-names to the wiki because some users believe them to be significant enough to add. It also is a problem of priority: I know for a fact that including fan content would lead to a good number of users choosing to ignore important articles (like writing plot summaries for actual movies) in favor of writing for whatever YouTube channel they like instead. It's a mentality I don't think we should encourage.

So yeah, I still don't think we should do it. I don't think including it is worth the hassle that will most likely follow it.

Those are some very good points, but personally I don’t think it would be that close to opening up the floodgates of fan content to this site. I do think you’re right about some users possibly getting tunnel vision for making pages on their favorite creators (ps I love up from the depths, he’s one of my favorite channels out there), and it definitely could be seen as making a page that would be a better fit on the Zilla fanon wiki. I’m going to wait a week or so to see if the admins wish to step in and prevent this page’s creation (I had asked previously but it’s still worth waiting now). We’ll see what happens after that.
